Martine Frossard's work will grace the cover of our next issue. Originally from Strasbourg, France, this talented illustrator and graphic designer now calls Montreal home. Here are a few examples of her work to give you a taste of what's coming in our November issue!
We are holding another Papirmasse-a-thon, this time in Edmonton, Alberta! In collaboration with the Exposure: Queer Arts & Culture Festival we are going to make a whole lotta affordable art - and we need participants (artists AND writers)! Apply by Oct 15. The event happens Oct. 20 2011.
Want to make Montreal underground art history? We aren't kidding - this show is going to be one of the biggest things in recent memory. An unprecedented joint effort by 5 of Montreal's biggest underground arts organizations (Cease, En Masse, MassivArt, Decover Magazine and PAPIRMASSE), the Cease Installation Project is currently accepting submissions. Act fast!
Our next artist is Monica Lacey. Hailing from Prince Edward Island (Canada's smallest province), Monica works in many disciplines, including photography, ceramics, and textiles. In issue 22 we will be publishing not one, but two photographs by her (both at a substantial yet easy to frame size!). Get to know her a little better here.
